My Hope For This Site
I work in my university’s college success center with students from all backgrounds, all disciplines, and all areas of the country. I work with freshman and sophomore students to bring their writing skills up to college standards, and I work with juniors and seniors on résumé writing and internship and job applications.
After working with students for a number of years, I had begun to see a pattern of routine problems in their writing. Since writing is a skill that has near-universal applications, I figured that students couldn’t be the only ones with these troubles.
That is why I run and maintain this website. I have a passion for writing, and I want to help as many people as I can.
As such, this site isn’t just for a single type of writer. I aim to deliver content that centers on a wide variety of writing styles and appeals to any number of writers along their authorship journey.

About the Founder
EnhanceMyWriting.com was founded by Dr. Randall Hansen, a livelong educator whose mission in life is to help people lead better lives.
Dr. Hansen has been empowering people his entire adult life. In fact, empowerment is part of his professional philosophy statement. He is a published author, with several books, chapters in books, and hundreds of articles, both academic and practical.
After spending years at the helm of EnhanceMyWriting.com, Dr. Hansen decided to pass the torch in the summer of 2017. This allowed him to finally focus on other passions of his, such as hiking, cycling, and photography.
Looking toward the future, I plan to keep his legacy alive and well at the site by giving authors and writers the tools they need to empower not only their writing but also their lives, careers, and education.
